Know someone with  a heart problem?

Congenital heart defects are abnormalities of the heart present at birth. It is estimated that up to 1.3 million Americans alive today have some form of congenital heart defect. Approximately 8-10 out of every 1,000 children each year are born with some form of a heart defect. While the cause is not exactly known, they are presumed to be genetic and environmental.  Non-congenital heart disease effects millions of people annually.  Advancing The Heart is committed to advancing the heart for those living with or suffer from some sort of heart or cardiovascular defect or disease.
